About Me

                                                                   Cappy Kirsch

My wandering path to becoming a healer began 40 years ago when I drove to Albuquerque in a yellow Ford pickup to learn collaborative printmaking at the Tamarind Institute of Lithography at the University of New Mexico. The two-year technical training in the arcane craft of printing artists’ drawings from slabs of limestone with a hand-cranked press was exacting, and I thrived on the technical demands of the work. And while it might not sound like the most direct path to becoming a healer, the “collaborative” aspect of the training – tuning into artists and making deep contact with them in order to help them birth their visions into reality – is not really so different from my approach to healing work today.

As I look back on my life path so far, it’s clear that making contact with myself and others has been a theme – from those years mind-melding with artists, to the vulnerability of choosing two open (rather than traditional closed or non-identified) adoptions, to trusting my curiosity to lead my then-skeptical self to take classes in energy work, to listening to my instincts enough to enroll in massage school the day before classes were scheduled to begin, to acting on synchronicities suggesting that the Wilderness Fusion school was to be my next step. Ultimately, I was led to the Utah desert alone for a life changing three-day vision fast.
